World Cup glory awaits England in South Africa
England are currently ranked number 8 in the world by FIFA. They have made 14 appearances in the World Cup but have only won it on one occasion in 1966, when they beat Germany 3-2.
England are taking with them some of the worlds best players to South Africa, the team will include (barring more injuries) Wayne Rooney, Peter Crouch and Steven Gerrard. Injuries to former captain David Beckham, Michael Owen and Wes Brown have ruled them out of the World Cup.
England Fixtures
- 12th June v United States, Royal Bafokeng Stadium, Phokeng
- 18th June v Algeria, Cape Town Stadium, Cape Town
- 23rd June v Slovenia, Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, Port Elizabeth
Verdict
If England do not destroy the other teams in this group then Fabio could be looking at getting lynched by the England faithful! Fabio could not have asked for an easier group on paper for England to be up against so all going well Rooney will bag a load of goals and be ready for the next round! The English fans are expecting nothing less than a World Cup final appearance this year.
